hey....there is a heaven and hell difference between std books and 'pass' books....
knowledge may not be correct in 'pass' books...
so my dear, use pass books only for passin and std books to become a good doctor...

take books which give you knowledge to pass exams. otherwise neither you will be able to pass nor able to get knowledge. keep good books as refrence to read selected topics only.
passing and exam pattern depends on the university you are in.
